Sono Don Vincenzo Caiazzo, un giovane sacerdote di Taranto. Mio nonno Vincenzo, era di Castellammare di Stabbia, ma la mia famiglia è a Taranto da molti anni. Ciao...sono don Vincenzo Caiazzo. Sono un giovane sacerdote cattolico di Taranto, ho 26 anni. Mio padre è nato a Taranto, come io, d'altra parte. Ma mio nonno, Vincenzo, era di Castellammare di Stabbia. Le mie radici, dunque sono campane. Non avrei mai immaginato di trovare questo sito, tutto "nostro"!! Bhe, che dire? Se vi trovate a taranto chiedete di don vincenzo...CAIAZZO, ovviamente!!! Sarò felice di conoscere un omonimo...vi confido una cosa: davanti alle tante e-mail, mi chiedo, chissà dove affondano le nostre origini, chissà che con qualcuno, magari che si trova dall'altra parte del mondo, non siamo anche lontani parenti...un saluto a tutti!!!

Hello everyone!
My grandmother's maiden name was Caiazzo. My dad was Nicola Caccia. My dad was born in Castello di Cisterna, provincia di Napoli and had cousins in Queens, New York who were Caiazzo. The branch we are related to were from Pomigliano D'arco, close to Castello di Cisterna (the next town to it). As I child I used to visit my dad's cousins in Queens, they owned a pastry shop, my "zio" as I called him, was Ettore Caiazzo. He had also a son, who worked with him and a daughter. Ettore was brother to Nicola Caiazzo who lived also in Queens, NY (at least back in the 1970's) and Zio Nicola's wife was Gina. They had children, but I remember mostly Stephanie and Patrizia. I have not heard from them for years although i tghink they were in contact with one of my first cousins in Italy, Nicoletta DiMonda. Nicola, Ettore also had other brothers, Salvatore who lived in Florida but then moved to Italy (now is deceased) married to Suzy (a great funny lady!), then there is Amedeo Caiazzo (the writer) who lives in Pomigliano D'arco and one sister they called bambina I think and the oldest brother died years ago I forgot unfortunately his name. Anyone knows of any of these Caiazzos please write to me and in the subject write" Re: Caiazzo" Ciao a tutti!

My brother Michael Caiazzo is on your site. I five brothers and sisters and lots of other relatives to be proud of. Especially my grandfather John Caiazzo who came over from Italy on the boat. He bought a little piece of land behind the gulf oil refinery in South Philadelphia. On that land he had a piece of heaven. My grandfather had a green thumb. He turned the land into a very productive vegetable/fruit farm. He shared all that he grew with everyone he knew. He was very well liked. He gave our family the roots of family togetherness and sharing which will be carried into all the generations to come. I am proud to be a Caiazzo.

Hello all Caiazzo, it's sébastien Caiazzo again. Some détails about my family : the father of my granfather (i dunno the word in english) came from Naples to North Africa where he was married to a sicilian girl (family name : Putano), he had 4 sons, the first was my granfather. Now we are a lot of CAIAZZO. In 1993 all the Caiazzo decided to make a trip to Caiazzo village near Caserta. It is amazing to see ur last name written everywhere. The ppl from welcomed us in a very nice way. they believed we were american ppl gettin back to birthplace. If someone think we can be parents plz send me an e-mail. Take care.

My name is Michael... Yep, you guessed it... CAIAZZO!!! I am the son of Anthony John Caiazzo Sr. and Nancy Ellen McCarty. I am the youngest of six children. I have two older brothers - Anthony John Caiazzo Jr. (a very prominent Philadelphia attorney), John Anthony Caiazzo (an office manager), and three older sisters - Kathleen Mixon (a managed care supervisor), Eileen Boland (a homemaker), and Colleen O'Connor (a legal assistant). I am Michael Patrick Caiazzo, a School Psychologist originally from the Philadelphia area, who now resides in York, Pennsylvania. My grandfather came to America aboard a boat named The Republic, which I believe sank in the early 20th century off the island of Nantucket. My family originates from Ciciano, Italy. It is rumored that my great- grandfather was the "town drunk" in Ciciano and now his great-granchildren are educated white-collar professionals. We are the grateful benefactors of previous generations who came to America in order to provide a better life for their children. Let none of us forget that are ancestors came to America to do the jobs that other did not want to do. They worked hard, paving the way for the next generation of Caiazzos. I'll stop in occasionally to see how the site is progressing. Hey one quick question for you -
I am planning on taking a trip out to Italy around Christmas this year. Haven't been there before. What area would you recommend? Napoli? My father's side is from Napoli, mother's side from Bari, but man would I love to see Maranello (vroom vroom!)

Sono rimasto sorpreso nello scoprire che esiste un sito dedicato a chi há porta il cognome Caiazzo e, di conseguenza, è subito nata in me la curiosità di conoscere, avere un qualche tipo di contatto ed in qualche modo comunicare com omonimi (o fors’sanche parenti, chissà?) che vivono in parti diverse del mondo.

I am attempting to find information on my grandparents for my genealogy records.
My father: Dominic De Micheli (americanized spelling in 1900’s to De Michael. His Mother: Vicenza Gagliadi born aprox. 1862 (i believe in Caiazzo). His father: Nicola (Nicholas) De Michele born aprox. 1864 (? Do not know what town). Sister of Vincenza Gagliardi who remained in Caiazzo i believie had at least two children: Natalina Ferraiulo Bernardo and Angelina Coloiuoli Femiani. I have found some letters indicating that these people were living in Caiazzo in 1948 – 1951, and i would assume afterwards. Any information to put me in contact with my cousins would be greatly appreciated. Please notify me of any fees associated with your research and i will send by return mail.Thank you,

My grandfather Giovanni Caiazzo came to the U.S. from Naples in around 1918 and opened a bakery on Mulberry Street in Little Italy New York. My brother, Louis, started to try to develop a family tree and he will be contacting you. In the meantime thank you for your adding a link to my commodity brokerage firm on your website.
